17th July 2024 50th Anniversary of Mersea Week – Streets Whittles acts as Day Sponsor Article by:Marketing Firm News Share Copied Share Copied Mersea Week 2024 is celebrating 50 years as one of the largest sailing events on the East Coast and Streets Whittles is pleased to sponsor Tuesday 20th August. The week of racing on The Blackwater is organised by a sub-committee of Dabchicks Sailing Club and West Mersea Yacht Club. Seven days of racing will start on Sunday 18th August and end Friday 23rd August. It is anticipated that around 150 or more boats and 500 participants competing. Streets Whittles partner Dan Insley explains why supporting the week is so important to him and his fellow partners: “Community matters and what better way to celebrate what Mersea Island is all about than to be involved in Mersea Week?
