01st May 2024 Michael Greene is a bowling success as McTear Williams & Wood Limited raise £2,160 for Blood Bikes Norfolk Article by:Marketing Firm News Share Copied Share Copied The Streets Whittles team of Michael Greene, Dan Insley, Luke Gormley and Lena Sroka took part in client McTear Williams & Wood’s annual bowls tournament held at the Diss & District Bowls Club on Wednesday 24 April 2024. Organised into twelve multi-firm teams of professionals from across the region, the winners of the “McTear Williams & Wood Bowls Trophy” were the “Avocets” comprised of our own Michael Greene together with John Bradshaw of Barker Gotelee and Lyndsey Squirrell of Ellisons Solicitors. In addition, Michael won the trophy for the highest scoring player. In keeping with tradition, at this the 14th annual bowls tournament, the contestants wore an array of novelty slippers with Michael sporting some impressive monster claw footwear. Michael was delighted with the win: “I have taken part in this competition most years, but this is the first time I have won. It is particularly pleasing as last year’s winner was my colleague Luke and so it is good to keep the trophy in the office! However, the real win is the getting together of the regional business community and raising money for the very worthwhile cause of Norfolk Blood Bikes, a volunteer-based charity formed to fulfil the need of an ‘out of hours’ transport service for blood, samples and any other items..” You can read more about the event on the McTear Williams & Wood’s website.
