The team at Streets Whittles will be on Santa’s sleigh in December 2023 collecting for local charitable causes and handing out treats to the good people of Colchester. This annual festive event has been organised by Colchester Round Table 367 for over forty years.

In particular, Streets Whittles is happy to be sponsors of the Riverside leg taking place from 6.00pm on the 19th December. Click here for full route. The featured charity that evening will be Next Chapter, a domestic abuse charity working across the areas of Tendring, Colchester, Maldon, Chelmsford, Braintree & Uttlesford. Other charities benefiting this year from other sponsored evenings are: Beacon House, Korban, Open Road,  St Helena Hospice, The Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation, 17th Colchester Sea Scouts, Robin Cancer Trust, Ladies Circle, Colchester Foodbank and The Rob George Foundation.

Streets Whittles partner Dan Insley is currently the Treasurer of the Colchester Round Table 367 and he is delighted to play a major role (no spoilers but it is a big part) in the fundraising spectacle:

“My partners and I have always recognised the value of supporting the people and the causes of the neighbourhood in which we live and work. Being at the heart of our community is important to us and this sentiment is especially true at Christmas, when it is all too obvious that although the season is a time of joy for most of us, it is certainly far from so for many. The team from Streets Whittles will be acting as elves on the sleigh on the 19th December and we look forward to raising some much-needed funds for the named charity.”

If you are unable to join us on the 19th December but would like to donate to these great causes, you can still do so via the specially created “givestar” account here.
