Those of you who regularly visit Mersea Island, whether for work, play or because you or your family live there, will already know that some planning is required to make sure that you are able to cross the Strood, the causeway which links Mersea to the mainland, without danger to you or your vehicle.

The Strood is the only road access onto the island and the half-mile long stretch is submerged twice daily by high tide, making it impassable. For at least an hour either side of high tide, Mersea truly becomes an island.

It is so important for our clients and colleagues to know when to cross safely that we produce an annual Tide Table.  If you have not yet receive a 2025 Tide Table, please pop into one of our offices and ask for a copy

We are also pleased to continue with our sponsorship support of the Strood Cam, the live webcam overlooking the Strood channel and the Strood causeway. You can access this website online for those occasions when you do not have our booklet.

We have it covered so you don’t get wet!
